THE LEARNING CENTER
The Learning Center is a unit of Pringle-Morse School that has
been developed to assist children with learning difficulties. It is available to all students within this
school system and can be used at any time to address needs that arise in
learning. It is designed to offer a
variety of ways to assist students.
The Learning Center is staffed with two
certified teachers and two instructional aides. They are able to provide 1 on 1 instruction in the student’s
classroom or in the Learning Center classrooms. The types of assistance include English as a Second Language;
Content Mastery, Instructional Modifications; computer assisted programs; video
assisted programs; 1 on 1 and small group instruction. Support is also provided
for classroom teachers to help them become more able to identify and address
learning difficulties in their classrooms.
They are also assisted by the Learning Center to learn methods of
instruction for children with learning difficulties.
The Learning Center is a very flexible unit that is meant to serve
any student of PMCISD in the way that most enables them to learn.
